NEW! SAA State Ambassador Program
An SAA State Ambassador is a national SAA volunteer who serves as a state leader in order to improve state and interstate communication. The Ambassador will communicate monthly with SAA chapter representatives, assist with recruitment of new members and chapters, and work closely with the Academy's State Leaders Network. To volunteer, please log-on to the Audiology Community and opt-in to our Volunteer Pool. Once you have opted in, you can apply to the SAA State Ambassador Program by clicking "Volunteer Opportunities" under the Volunteer tab. The deadline to volunteer is Wednesday, September 27, 2017.
Student Leaders in Audiology Conference
The Student Leaders in Audiology Conference (SLAC) was created to provide an open and engaging opportunity for students to grow and develop skills in leadership so that they may become active, contributory members to an already thriving audiology community. The audience will be solely comprised of audiology students who have been selected through a rigorous application process to become future leaders and decision makers in the profession of audiology. Information about the 2018 SLAC will be available in the Fall.
Apply to Become a Member of the SAA Board of Directors
The SAA Board of Directors includes the President, President-Elect, and eight members at large who are national SAA members that are elected to one-year terms aside from the President-Elect. The SAA Board of Directors is the link between the national SAA, local SAA chapters, volunteers, and student members. Board members represent the breadth and depth of SAA initiatives and interests by following the outlined Roles & Responsibilities and by serving as committee chairs guided by the strategic direction in the areas of public awareness, philanthropy, leadership, communications, chapter and member relations, and AAA Conference programming. A call for applications for the 2018-2019 SAA Board of Directors will be made in October/November of 2017.
