SAA Recognizes You

SAA Recognizes You

President's Message and Chapter Challenge Award Recipients

The Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) is fortunate to take a moment to be grateful to our members for their work and accomplishments throughout the year.

Over a series of three videos, we want to
  1. Celebrate your accomplishments from the year.
  2. Share updates on SAA’s activities.
  3. Thank everyone around the country who helped make these things happen.

Throughout the year, SAA chapters have the opportunity to log their local programming and share it with the SAA. Top chapters in each category receive $500 from the SAA and the chapter with the most overall Chapter Challenge points receives $600.

We owe huge thank you to Hearing Healthcare Recruiters who have sponsored these awards for six years and have committed to sponsoring it for many more years to come.

Scholarships and Grant Recipients

The SAA is also proud to work with the AAA Foundation and our sponsors to recognize the accomplishment of individual students through scholarships and grants.

We would also like to recognize SAA chapters who have 85 percent or more national SAA membership! We’re always glad to see students who are engaged both locally and nationally and are especially proud to recognize these chapters for whom 100 percent of local members are also national SAA members.

National SAA membership comes with all of the benefits of membership in the American Academy of Audiology plus additional resources focused specifically at students! We’d like to highlight a few of our favorites here:

  1. Resume Review Service
  2. Compensation and Benefits Survey
  3. Discounted Rates on eAudiology
  4. Distribute surveys/questionnaires to membership

Fellow Up!

A considerable member benefit is the significant discount on membership for student members. The year you graduate, you can Fellow Up! and transition your student membership to professional membership for FREE! After that, there are significant discounts each year for the first three years. Remember that Academy membership comes with many of the benefits described above, including a discount on AAA Annual Conference registration for new professionals.

Thank YOU!

As a membership organization, the SAA is driven by each of us. Thank you for all you’ve done this year for the profession of audiology. While this academic year didn’t end the way any of us expected, the bold action and ideas of students around the country reminds me why I love being a part of this profession and this organization with all of you.

We also want to thank our sponsors one last time. So many of the benefits previously mentioned, and that we’ve all enjoyed, over the last year would not be possible without their generous contributions:
