Miranda Scalzo is the 2021-2022 Virginia State Ambassador for the Student Academy of Audiology (SAA). Her audiological interests include vestibular sciences and pediatric amplification. Miranda hopes to increase interstate communication and community outreach during her time in this position. She is honored to serve as Virginia’s State Ambassador and looks forward to working alongside other student leaders.

Miranda is a second-year Au.D. student at James Madison University. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Cognitive Science at the University of Delaware with minors in Disability Studies, Human Development and Family Sciences, and Dance. She currently serves as the social media chair of her local SAA chapter. She is currently researching vestibular suppression and perception of self-motion in dancers as her doctoral dissertation. Outside of audiology, Miranda enjoys dancing, fitness, and spending time with friends and family.
