Chapter Funding Opportunities
Humanitarian, Educational, and Awareness Resources (HEAR) Chapter Grant
This grant of up to $1,000 is to fund the development of an SAA chapter project that is either a new project or for the refinement of an existing project. The project must be either Humanitarian in nature, Educational in nature, or related to the awareness of audiology. Applications are due October 1 and February 1 annually.
Special Olympics Healthy Hearing (SOHH) Chapter Participation Grant
SAA chapters participating in local, regional, and/or state SOHH events are encouraged to apply for these grants of up to $250.00 to offset travel costs and other expenses. Applications are due February 1 annually.
Chapters collect points for activities completed across four main areas: Advocacy, Education, Humanitarian, and Fundraising. Points will be accumulated across three Chapter Challenges terms. The winning chapters will be announced during the SAA Membership Meeting in Nashville, will receive cash prizes in coordination with the AAAF, will be featured in the SAAy Anything E-Newsletter, and will be recognized in the “SAA Spotlight” in Audiology Today!
Chapter Reimbursements – AAA Annual Conference
Chapters who send at least one representative for the entirety of the SAA Annual Membership Meeting, which takes place at the AAA Annual Conference, will be eligible for a chapter reimbursement of up to $100.00. A sign-in/sign-out sheet will be provided at the meeting, and eligible chapters will be contacted after the conference to process reimbursements.
