The City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center SAA participated in a virtual Walk4Hearing this October! CUNY SAA members and their families gathered, with face masks and social distancing, across the New York tri-state area to raise awareness for hearing health. Leading up to the walk, CUNY used social media to spread awareness about the virtual fundraiser and raised almost $600 to donate to the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA). These funds will raise public awareness regarding hearing health, support federal-level advocacy supporting hearing health-related policies, and provide scholarship opportunities for students with hearing loss! CUNY SAA looks forward to participating in future virtual fundraisers and supporting hearing healthcare within the local community!
