DESCRIPTION:The “Ask Me About Audiology” Campaign (AMAA) is entering its seventh year October 18-23\, 2021. SAA chapters across the nation have held local AMAA events\, such as passing out earplugs at sporting events\, setting up a booth in a farmer’s market\, and conducting interviews of SAA members for a social media series! AMAA has easily become a Fall semester staple for many local SAA chapters\, the campaign seeks to empower students to educate members of the local community about hearing healthcare\, the impact of hearing loss/noise exposure\, and the profession of audiology. \nOrganizer: Jasmin Rodriguez

DESCRIPTION:The SAA Virtual Education Series is a series of student-oriented sessions focused on a variety of topics with the goal of enhancing clinical skills through evidence-based practice. For this session\, Dr. Andrea Warner-Czyz will be discussing her latest research on referral guidelines in children with cochlear implants. \nRegistration for this event is required. Register by Tuesday\, October 12 to receive a Zoom meeting link. \nVirtual Education Series Speaker\n \nDr. Andrea Warner-Czyz is currently an associate professor at the University of Texas at Dallas. Her research interests include identifying risk and protective factors that influence the quality of life in infants\, children\, and adolescents with hearing loss and in those who wear cochlear implants. \n  \n
