Coming Soon: The SAA Membership Survey

January 16, 2019 SAA News

The Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) is the only professional organization of, by, and for audiology students. In an effort to continue to be the student voice of audiology, we are interested in hearing from you! Coming in 2019 is the first ever SAA Membership Survey, with questions aimed at helping the SAA better understand the demographics, desires, and passions of our many student members. Mirroring the American Academy of Audiology Membership Survey, the SAA Membership Survey will be used to help shape the future of the SAA, by giving student leadership valuable information about student members and how we can better serve you through events, resources, and unique student opportunities.

Here is a sampling of some of the questions featured in the 2019 SAA Membership Survey:

Do you feel your SAA membership has proven to be beneficial to you as an audiology student?

In what way(s) are you exposed to audiology advocacy or learning about audiology advocacy at your university?

What is your hearing status?

Do you intend to obtain any specialty certifications following graduation?

What is your ideal work setting following graduation?

Participating in the SAA Membership Survey helps ensure that your voice will be a part of crafting the future of the SAA. Keep an eye out in your inbox for a survey link, coming soon! If you are interested in extending the discussion beyond the survey, be sure to attend the Future of Audiology Summit at AAA 2019 on Thursday March 28, 2019 from 1:30 - 2:30 PM. The Future of Audiology Summit is a newly designed student membership meeting that will include an in-person audience discussion of a number of the SAA Membership Survey questions.
