Name: Josephine Han
University: The University of Texas at Dallas
Year in Program: Third Year
Committee: SAA Communications Committee
Why did you decide to become an SAA committee volunteer?
My local UTD SAA chapter did a phenomenal job in keeping its members up to date with the latest activities and events the national SAA was up to. After being informed on what the national SAA and its committees were working on to help grow and support our profession, I wanted to be a part of it! Although I have to say, my roommate, current 2019-2020 SAA President-Elect Stephanie Tittle’s passion for SAA had a major influence on my decision as well!
What are you most excited to contribute to your committee?
Helping bring articles, written by students and professionals alike, to publication is one of the most rewarding processes as a member of the communications committee! I’m excited to assist the committee by editing articles and providing feedback to authors in order to develop informational articles for academy members and the public.
Within the field of audiology, what are your primary interests?
Adults, medical audiology, and the hearing aid industry.
Fun fact about yourself?
I love to film and edit videos of family and friends and post them on YouTube!
