One of the many benefits to being a national SAA member is the opportunity to take advantage of the grants and scholarships that are available through the American Academy of Audiology Foundation (AAA Foundation). They are available on an annual basis starting in January; applications for the 2024 cycle are now open!
The universal scholarship application allows you to apply to multiple scholarships at once instead of having to complete several different applications. Remember to start the application process early as the application process requires a curriculum vitae (CV) and a short essay. The Academy’s Resume Review Service is an awesome resource you can take advantage of during this process.
Keep in mind that the scholarship application also requires a recommendation rubric. Remember to provide courtesy to your recommender/reference/mentor by asking them early on in the process and writing them a thank you note. Visit the AAA Foundation website for details on how to apply for each opportunity.
Most importantly, make sure you renew your membership with national SAA for 2024 to continue to be eligible for national SAA member resources and benefits.
