Abby Poindexter

Abby Poindexter is a third-year AuD student at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition to serving as the national SAA North Carolina State Ambassador, she also served as the graduate clinical assistant in the East Carolina University Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic, where she assisted patients during walk-in clinic with general hearing aid cleaning and troubleshooting. Her clinical interests include pediatric diagnostics and amplification, pediatric syndrome hearing loss, as well as adult and pediatric cochlear and bone-anchored implants. Now starting her second term as the national SAA North Carolina State Ambassador, she is excited to continue efforts to foster inter-chapter collaboration, as well as pursue advocacy efforts for those with hearing loss and related disorders in North Carolina.
