What are your specific interests in audiology? What are your professional goals related to these interests?

My current interests in audiology include hearing aids, cochlear implants, vestibular testing, and musician’s products. I would love to work in a hospital for a number of years post-graduation and then start my own private practice after that!

Have you previously volunteered with the SAA?

I have been serving as the SAA secretary for the CUNY Graduate Center local chapter for the past school year. I am responsible for preparing and publishing the monthly newsletter, taking notes/recording SAA meetings, and volunteering/assisting for program events. I am also a member relations committee member for the national SAA where I help with projects related to membership, engagement, collaboration, and communication at the undergraduate and graduate levels, through outreach, recognition, and resource development.

Aside from the SAA, what other relevant volunteer experiences do you have?

I was a service missionary in Taiwan for 18 months (March 2017–August 2018), where I taught hundreds of individuals and families in Mandarin Chinese about religious subjects and also taught free English classes.
