Jacynda Gellhaus

Jacynda Gellhaus, MS, is South Dakota’s 2023-2024 SAA State Ambassador. Jacynda is currently a third-year doctor of audiology student at the University of South Dakota. Jacynda studied auditory and language neuroscience at Arizona State University where she received her master’s degree in 2021. Jacynda is a former Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) trainee where she gained skills in completing interdisciplinary care for children with disabilities. She has previously been involved with South Dakota’s Early Hearing and Detection Program where she has assisted in setting up and training professionals on how to complete tele-ABR’s. Her areas of interest include pediatrics, cochlear implants, electrophysiology, and interdisciplinary work. Outside of audiology, you can find Jacynda playing with her golden retriever—Murphy, attending yoga classes, and traveling.
