Renee Alvarado Briere is a third-year student at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). She currently serves as the co-chair of the 2023-2024 Programs Committee for the Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) Board of Directors. Renee is thrilled to organize and promote programming useful for all audiology students. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in December of 2020. Her background in biology and passion for health care have shaped her interests in audiology.
Her clinical interests include pediatrics audiology, Deaf culture, implantable devices, neurodevelopmental disabilities, amplification, and working with underserved communities. Renee is excited for the opportunity to promote and advocate for the profession of audiology. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her wife and dog, collecting vinyl records, and traveling.
