Diversity & Inclusion Task Force November Update

  • SAA News

At the end of September, five volunteers were selected out of a large pool of applicants to serve on the Diversity & Inclusion Task Force (DITF). Members of the DITF attended meetings throughout the month of October to learn more about the SAA and brainstorm ideas for the year. After a month of training, DITF volunteers are ready to hop into action!

One of the major goals of the DITF is to create bimonthly webinars and infographics about diversity as it relates to audiology students. The DITF is expected to publish its first infographic before the end of the year, followed by its first webinar at the start of 2021. Follow the Student Academy of Audiology on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates about upcoming diversity and inclusion educational materials.

Lily Rollins, BS, is the current President-Elect of the national Student Academy of Audiology. She is a third-year student from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is interested in adult diagnostics and hearing aids.
