The national Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) hosts many events throughout the year, most notably, the SAA Conference, held annually in conjunction with the AAA Annual Conference. The SAA also hosts several national campaigns to educate and spread public awareness about the profession of audiology to consumers and other healthcare professionals as well as collaborations with other student organizations such as the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA), and the Student Academy of Doctors of Audiology (SADA).
In 2020, national SAA created a series of virtual programming, the SAA Virtual Education Series (VES), to provide audiology students with high-quality content during the COVID-19 pandemic. The series has since continued, with sessions on a variety of topics held year-round. All programming is at no cost to attendees and take place on the Zoom platform unless otherwise specified.
