Ready to amplify your impact on campus and beyond? Becoming a nationally recognized Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) Chapter unlocks exclusive benefits, funding opportunities, and the right to proudly use the national SAA name and trademarks.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for national SAA recognition, your chapter must meet the following criteria:
- Be approved to operate as a student organization/club at your designated university office in accordance with university policy
- Offer an AuD, PhD, or AuD/PhD program in audiology*
- Be accredited by or in developing status with the Accreditation Commission for Audiology Education (ACAE) and/or the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA)
*If your university does not offer a doctoral-level audiology program, the student organization/club may apply as an Undergraduate SAA Chapter.
How to Start a Chapter
Whether you’re launching a new chapter or formalizing an existing one, here’s how to get started:
- Download the Application Materials
- Submit Your Documents
- Email your completed materials to saa@audiology.org. You’ll receive a response within five business days.
- Sign the National SAA Agreement
- Once approved, your chapter will review and sign the official agreement. The agreement is reviewed every two years as part of the Annual National SAA Chapter Renewal Process.
