With the AAA 2025+ HearTECH Expo around the corner I wanted to take a moment to highlight a few of the amazing student-focused sessions that will take place in New Orleans this March.
National SAA will be kicking off the conference on Wednesday, March 26 with the annual SAA Conference. During the 2025 SAA Conference, you’ll hear from current externs about their experiences applying for and completing their externships during the externship panel, learn about audiology licensing and American Board of Audiology (ABA) certification, and participate in a hands-on workshop led by the SAA conference (and Mix and Mingle) sponsor, Starkey. The SAA Mix and Mingle will immediately follow the conference. I highly encourage every student to attend the Mix and Mingle as it does not require a separate ticket and is open to all students!
On Thursday morning, the Students with Hearing Loss Subcommittee will host their annual networking session. Thursday will also include a round table discussion about different audiology specialties and a new professionals panel. Friday will include a presentation on noise induced hearing loss, a grand rounds session, and a presentation about auditory processing disorders.
As you can see, the SAA Programs committee has put together a phenomenal line up of student-focused sessions! Make sure to favorite the student-focused sessions in the conference planner. While in New Orleans, I hope you also take some time to explore the amazing food and attractions the city has to offer. Remember to always travel with a buddy.
Not sure where to start? Check out the student-focused curated agenda filled with sessions and events that may be of interest to you!
I look forward to seeing you all very soon!
