Hector Sanchez is a second-year AuD student from the University of Utah. He received his bachelor’s in communication sciences and disorders at Appalachian State University. His passion for the field lies in ototoxicity research and pediatrics, and he hopes to carry that interest into his career. In his free time, he enjoys one of his many hobbies: photography, running, biking, swimming, camping, and exploring with his girlfriend and two dogs.

He is blessed and truly honored to serve as a first-time member of the national SAA as this year’s member-at-large education chair. In this position, he hopes to increase diversity and involvement in research and audiology for all students.
