About Qudsia

Qudsia Chaudhry is a Doctor of Audiology student at Northwestern University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Having lived with hearing loss her entire life, Qudsia brings a uniquely personal and empathetic perspective to her clinical work. Her clinical interests include diagnostic audiometry, vestibular assessment, aural rehabilitation, amplification, and expanding access to hearing healthcare, with a strong commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Qudsia is currently part of the SoundBrain Lab at Northwestern University, which studies the underlying neural mechanisms for speech perception. During her undergraduate studies, she served as one of the first student representatives for the CSD Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity (DEI) Task Force, advocating for inclusive student engagement. She is excited to serve as the state ambassador for Illinois and looks forward to making a meaningful impact in her role as she works toward becoming an audiologist.

National SAA State Ambassador Program

An SAA State Ambassador is a national volunteer who represents the state where they attend school. They help connect local SAA chapters (when there’s more than one) with each other and with the state’s professional organizations.

If you’re interested in becoming a state ambassador, visit our webpage and submit an application. Applications usually open in March and close in October each year.
