The national SAA, AAA Foundation, and its generous sponsors offer numerous educational opportunities for audiology graduate students.
Applications for the 2026 cycle are being accepted! Detailed information on the eight (8) available opportunities is provided below and on the AAA Foundation website. The deadline to apply is Thursday, April 30, 2026.

General Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be a national SAA member in good standing at the time of application and at the time of award. Not a national SAA member? Join now.
- Applicants must be a full-time student in an audiology graduate program (AuD, PhD, AuD/PhD) in good standing at a U.S. university during the 2025-2026 year.
- Applicants cannot graduate in Spring/Summer 2026.
- Applicants are only eligible to receive one scholarship award per cycle.
- Applicants are only eligible to receive a specific scholarship one time, although they are eligible to receive a different scholarship in subsequent years.

Individual Scholarships
Amit Gosalia Scholarship in Private Practice Audiology
This $1,500 scholarship is awarded to two (2) students who show exceptional promise as a clinical audiologist interested in pursuing a career in private practice. Funding is generously provided by AudBoss, Inc.

This $2,000 scholarship is awarded to two (2) students who show exceptional promise in providing outstanding patient care as a clinical audiologist. Funding is generously provided by AudiologyOnline.

This $5,000 scholarship is awarded to four (4) students who show exceptional promise as a clinical audiologist. $20,000 in scholarship funds are available. Funding is generously provided by Oticon Hearing Foundation.

Jerry Northern Scholarship in Pediatric Audiology
This $10,000 scholarship is awarded to three (3) students who show exceptional promise as a clinical audiologist with a focus on the specialty of pediatric audiology. Funding is generously provided by Jerry Northern, PhD.

Jill Botkin Hearing Health-Care Accessibility Scholarship
This $5,000 scholarship is awarded to a student who is committed to enhancing access to hearing care services, especially in communities that lack geographical access to hearing care. Funding is generously provided by HearUSA.
Judith Blumsack Scholarship
This $500 scholarship is awarded to a student who demonstrates outstanding clinical skills and who shows promise in terms of clinical research and service to the hearing health community. Funding is generously provided by the AAA Foundation.

NEW! Student Mexico Mission Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to two (2) students interested in the opportunity to deliver hearing healthcare in underserved communities while gaining hands-on clinical and cultural experience. Up to $5,000 will be awarded to cover costs associated with participating in the Hearing the Call Mexico Outreach Program. The dates for the selected trip are October 10-17, 2026. Funding is generously provided by Oticon Hearing Foundation.
Research Grants and Awards
James Jerger Awards for Excellence in Student Research
Each year, six students who display their research posters at the AAA Annual Convention receive a $500 or $300 award from the AAA Foundation for outstanding research. Funding is generously provided by Starkey.
Student Research Forum Awards
Each year, four recipients present their research findings at the AAA Annual Convention and receive a $1,000 award from the AAA Foundation. Underwritten by Plural Publishing.
