The national SAA, AAA Foundation, and its generous sponsors offer numerous educational opportunities for audiology graduate students.

Applications are now being accepted for all six of the AAA Foundation scholarship programs. Please see below for more information on each available opportunity.

Individual Scholarships

NEW for 2024! Amit Gosalia Scholarship in Private Practice Audiology This $1,500 scholarship is awarded to two (2) students who show exceptional promise as a clinical audiologist interested in pursuing a career in private practice. Applications due Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Continued Achievement Scholarship This $2,000 scholarship is awarded to two (2) students who show exceptional promise in providing outstanding patient care as a clinical audiologist. The Continued Achievement Scholarship Program is generously sponsored by AudiologyOnline. Applications due Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Empowering Students Scholarship This $5,000 scholarship is awarded to six (6) students who show exceptional promise as a clinical audiologist. $30,000 in scholarship funds are available; up to $20,000 are designated for Black students. This scholarship program is generously funded by Oticon Hearing Foundation. Applications due Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Jerry Northern Scholarship in Pediatric Audiology This $10,000 scholarship is awarded to three (3) students who show exceptional promise as a clinical audiologist with a focus on the specialty of pediatric audiology. Funding generously provided by Jerry Northern, PhD. Applications due Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Judith Blumsack Scholarship This $500 scholarship is awarded to a student who demonstrates outstanding clinical skills and who shows promise in terms of clinical research and service to the hearing health community. Applications due Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Sadanand Singh Memorial Scholarship This $500 scholarship is awarded to one minority or international student who shows exceptional promise in audiology research. Applications due Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Research Grants and Awards

James Jerger Awards for Excellence in Student Research Each year, six students who display their research posters at the AAA Annual Conference receive a $500 or $300 award from the AAA Foundation for outstanding research.

Student Investigator Research Grant Through the Research Grants in Hearing and Balance program, the AAA Foundation awards grants of up to $5,000 per year to student investigator researchers. Deadline for 2024 has passed.

Student Research Forum Awards Each year, four recipients present their research findings at the AAA Annual Conference and receive a $1,000 award from the AAA Foundation. Underwritten by Plural Publishing.

[CLOSED] Student Travel Award Reimbursement (STAR) Program – Washington State The STAR program Washington State offers outstanding audiology graduate students from a Washington state-based university funding of up to $1000 to attend meetings in the hearing sciences (as well as other sciences relating to student coursework).
