As a national Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) member, there are a wide variety of volunteer opportunities available if you are interested in getting involved. Volunteer opportunities are on a first-come, first-served basis. National SAA volunteers serve a one year term, from July 1-June 30.

  • Types of SAA Volunteer Positions
    • General Annual Volunteer
      • Complete and submit a general application; if selected, you will be placed on a committee to help provide support. If you are still interested in volunteering for 2025, there may be committees looking for additional help – consider applying today!
      State Ambassador
      • Serve as a leader for the state where they reside or attend university to improve state and interstate communication between SAA chapters (if more than one exists) and the state’s professional hearing organization. The state ambassador will work closely with a professional mentor (if available) within their state and the national SAA Board of Directors.
    • Micro Volunteer
      • Provide support for specific projects with various committees. You will contribute to small, time-specific tasks that make up a more extensive project with lasting contributions.
  • Requirements to be a volunteer:
    • Current national SAA Member

Volunteer opportunities are a great way to network, add to your resume, learn about different aspects of audiology, and much more. We encourage you to take advantage of these volunteer opportunities and apply early!
